A recent report written for the BBC news has highlighted the damage that alcohol can do to our bodies. It says that alcohol-related hospital admissions continue to rise. In 2009-2010 they reached over 1 million. There is concern that people do not understand units of alcohol, are confused by the recommended ‘safe’ levels, where in reality there is risk at any level, and are not given enough detail to help them to make informed decisions about alcohol.
